Facilities Support Coordinator
Description✓We are actively recruiting Facilities Support Officers on behalf of our client’ MTC, to join their team and become a part of their growth and success at Manston’s short-term holding facility run by the UK Home Office in Kent.

✓This role gives great variation of duties, which you will be responsible for, which include:
✓* Gate duties: ensuring the secure entry and exit of staff, visitors, and vehicles to the centre, carrying out searches of staff, detainees, visitors, contractors and vehicles
✓Issue and collect staff keys / radios
✓* Contractor Escorts: be responsible for identifying and escorting vehicles and contractors within the short-term holding facility.
✓* External and internal patrols: follow set routes to actively patrol areas within the RHR and report any detainee activity the is suspicious or outside of RHR rules.
✓* Visits: identify and process visitors on their arrival, escorting them to and from the designated areas; ensure all visitors both domestic and official are appropriately searched and their details are collated
✓* Night Duties: assist Detention Custody Officers with night state operations.
✓* Information Desk/ Reception: assist in supporting appropriate tasks within reception ensuring that any detainee queries and property are processed appropriately; Collate all relevant documentation for the Reception/Property process; Search detainee property and parcels accepted in Reception.
✓* Detainee supervision: assist officers with guiding service users around the centre.
✓* Dining / Activities: undertake detainee supervision supporting with the cleanliness and tidiness of the area and promoting service user responsibility for keeping areas clean
✓Serve food from kitchens to service users and assist with clear-up and recycling within the dining area.
✓* Assist with general clear-up task at the direction of senior officers.
✓* Audit and manage stock items [laundry, snacks etc].
✓Skills:
✓* Experience of caring for others and working with vulnerable people is desirable
✓* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
✓* Good time management and multitasking skills
✓* Moderate computer skills are essential [we use Microsoft packages]
✓* Accuracy and attention to detail will be paramount
✓* A flexible approach and being adaptable to change
✓* A full, valid driving licence is desirable but not essential

✓They are paying an annual salary of £25,584, which equates to £12.30 per hour, on an average of 40 hours per week.
✓Your shift patterns work on a rolling rota, and are built up of a combination of the following:
✓Early shift: 07:30 to 16:00
✓Late shift: 14:00 to 22:30
✓A shift: 08:00 to 22:00
✓Night shift: 20:00 to 08:00
