✓Job Description:
✓You will provide active professional support within the Criminal Investigation Department for the investigation of crime, covering all aspects of the investigative process that do not require formal Police powers.
✓Location: Bournemouth
✓Contract: 8 months
✓Work hours: Full time - Hybrid
✓Salary: £15.26 per hour

✓Main duties and responsibilities
✓* To plan, prepare and conduct interviews with detainees, victims and witnesses according to the Law and Practical Guide to Investigative Interviewing
✓* Ensure that the law is complied with and that due consideration is given to the rights of the individual and procedure
✓* Evaluate evidence and information obtained on an ongoing basis.
✓* Ensure a thorough investigation is undertaken.
✓* To take statements as required in accordance with legislation and procedure.
✓* Ensure that accurate statements are taken to support enquiries.
✓* To determine the appropriate course of action in a case and to undertake that action in a thorough and expeditious manner
✓To ensure quality investigation is undertaken to present case to the CPS where appropriate.
✓* Completing relevant documentation in paper and digital format to support the case
✓To manage an ethical and professionally led investigation.
✓* To conduct all necessary investigative work required to bring about a prosecution, except those parts which form core Police Officer powers or powers not designated by the Chief Constable.
✓* Obtain, assess, disseminate and utilise intelligence material in support of an investigation, or for a wider policing purpose
✓Ensure intelligence material that is obtained during the course of an investigation is handled and utilised to support policing objectives.
✓* Search property, vehicles, premises and land in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, procedures and techniques in support of an investigation.
✓* Conduct search procedures in accordance with the law and ensure that evidence located is admissible in any criminal justice proceedings.
✓* Ensure all evidence, including exhibits, are obtained, examined, and stored in accordance with policy.
✓* Ensure integrity of the investigative process.
✓* To manage investigations as required by the appointed Senior Investigation Officer [S.I.O.] including investigations into major and organised crime, review of investigations and to undertake that action in a thorough and expeditious manner.
✓* To ensure the highest quality investigation is undertaken to the highest standards
✓To present case files to the Crown Prosecution Service, attend Case Conferences with Crown Prosecutors and Prosecution Counsel in line with Force and National Policy.
✓* Ensuring integrity of the legal process and effective presentation of evidence
✓To attend court, give evidence or deal with cases at both Magistrate and Crown/Appeal Courts
✓Attend same to perform any other role as required by the S.I.O

✓In the capacity of Exhibits & Disclosure Officer attend court to give evidence
