We are looking for systems-thinkers who we can train and develop to support with requirements definition, evaluation, testing and acceptance for our client's defence partners within maritime and air, to satisfy their system requirements and capability needs.
As part of the extensive programme, you will receive both on the job and classroom-based learning providing you with the necessary tools, experience, and training to help develop your skills within Systems Engineering
The training will be centred around the systems engineering framework, covering systems thinking, systems engineering fundamentals, requirements engineering, architecting, product design, systems engineering and architecting standards, model-based systems engineering, systems integration, and systems testing.
Once the training programme has finished, you will transition to become a permanent employee of our customer, bringing with you all the training and awareness that you have developed to enable you to work on cutting edge Systems Engineering solutions.
Day to Day Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the day-to-day leadership and management of engineering and technical teams to deliver integrated engineering outputs that meet the customer's requirements.
Working as a key member of a Systems/Project Engineering team.
Ensuring delivery of integrated technical activities to contracted time, cost and quality.
Ensuring a consistent approach to the integration of engineering outputs across all platform tasks.
Ensuring consistency of technical processes, methods and tools in accordance with the company Operating Framework to meet customer requirements.
Effective capture and analysis of customer requirements.
Assisting with the coordination of bids and estimates, generation of technical/solution strategies [Technical Delivery Plans] and work breakdown structures to support project cost plans and bids.
Assisting with the production of appropriate Technical Assurance plans and ensuring adherence throughout the project life cycle.
Assisting with the identification of project technical risks and assisting the Project Manager with the management of them.
Compliance with business processes and engineering governance
To fit the minimum criteria to apply, applicants must possess the following attributes:
Worked in multiple phases of an engineering lifecycle
Industry work experience in a relevant field
Be a "Systems-thinker" with a positive "can do" attitude
Ability to make sound judgements on integrated solutions
Ability to deliver results on time, meeting cost and quality targets
Excellent people management and communication skills
Good team player with good customer facing presence
Ability to work well under pressure
