Description✓We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer for one of our key clients based in the Aberdeen region, this is a new role working closely with the Engineering team providing strong direction on the design for manufacture

✓Our client designs and manufacturers a variety of products for customers around the global, selling into markets like Oil & Gas, Defence etc
✓Description
✓The role shall provide input to our clients internal manufacturing processes improve efficiency's, reviewing assembly techniques, equipment and testing times to support new product introduction.
✓You will be able to identify and challenge existing manufacturing methodologies and input to refining the engineering design to provide different manufacturing techniques, cost efficiency's and improve product quality.
✓Evaluate and analyse product designs and materials for most efficient method of manufacture against quantities required
✓Investigate and collaborate with suppliers on different manufacturing techniques and support transition from conventional manufacturing methods to alternative and emerging manufacturing processes.
✓Check detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation to ensure that detailed information on drawings and specifications is accurate to manufacture and produce the part
✓Responsible for the development and introduction of new tools and equipment
✓Creation of manufacturing engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, focused input on design documentation and assembly instructions, testing methods, and reports.Profile
✓Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
✓Strong knowledge and experience of identify and challenging existing manufacturing methodologies with respect to manufacturing technique's including but not limited too moulding, 3D printing, machining and alternative processes.
✓Good knowledge and understanding of emerging and existing manufacturing techniques of rubber, plastics, metallic and fabric goods and finishing coatings
✓Proven mechanical design/manufacturing methodology skills for a production environment.
✓Proven analytical and communication skills
✓Skilled in problem solving.
✓Strong commercial awareness
