✓We are working with our client a large UK Defence company who is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their Mission Systems department
✓As the Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for completing mechanical works on Naval surface ships and submarines based out of Bristol.
✓Roles & Responsibilities
✓Reporting to the Assembly & Support Manager you will be responsible for:
✓Assembling systems from engineering drawings
✓Working in confined spaces and at height
✓Following test procedures, reporting faults and findings
✓Communicating with supporting engineers effectively to aid problem solving.
✓Using multiple IT programs to generate and analyse data, and to write reports on results.
✓Performing mechanical fixes on a range of marine equipment used on Submarines.
✓Skills & Qualifications
✓We are looking for someone with the following:
✓Qualified to NVQ 3, HNC or time served in a mechanical fitting discipline.
✓Have experience working in the Marine sector preferable on naval assets like Submarines.
✓Have experience working in a highly regulated industry.
✓Be eligible to obtain Security clearance to SC level.
