Product Support Technician
Description✓WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
✓Based in our new manufacturing facility in Telford, we are looking for a Product Support Technician to join our growing Operations department.
✓You will be working on a variety of platforms and be a core member of a small team expected to meet tight deadlines, whilst ensuring all work is done safely to correct quality standard.
✓You will provide mechanical and electrical competences and capabilities across wide range of vehicle platforms.
✓Position Duties and Responsibilities
✓Preventative maintenance and repair on HGV wheel based vehicles
✓Fault find and repair electrical and mechanical systems
✓Carry out a trade specific risk assessment before every task.
✓Abide by all Risk Assessments and COSHH, RBSL policies and the relevant legislations
✓Ensure all tools and equipment that are used are suitable, fit for purpose and in date for an inspection required.
✓Self-certification completed work.
✓Assist engineering in corporation and modification of upgrades
✓Attend all training courses and briefings where possible.
✓Complete works as detailed by team leader.
✓Report all accidents, incidents and near misses via the appropriate reporting tool.
✓Help train and mentor apprentices so they become competent.WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
✓Security cleared or the ability to attain and maintain a UK security clearance up to SC level - Mandatory
✓Completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
✓Competent in using a wide range of hand tools
✓Hold a C license
✓Experience in using AESPs or manufacturing instructions
✓Recognised qualification in hydraulic and pneumatic systems or relevant experience
