✓We are assisting our client a large UK defence company who is looking to recruit a Safety Manager with Marine experience preferably on Submarines
✓As a Safety Manager you will be required to support the delivery of safety and environmental tasking and develop the Submarine Support Engineering capability
✓Please not that you will need to either hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance [SC] for this position

✓Roles & Responsibilities
✓As the Safety Manager you will be responsible for:
✓Submarine material state assurance.
✓Safety case management.
✓Hazard management.
✓Platform Certification and legislation.
✓Commission and Life Extension [COMEX / LIFEX].
✓Hazard Identification and Analysis [HIA].
✓Environmental Impact Screening Studies [EISS].
✓Design change / product safety management.
✓Skills & Qualifications
✓We are looking for someone with the following:
✓Experience working in the marine sector or Navy as a Submariner would be preferable.
✓Have received safety and Environmental Management Training [SEMT] - Desirable
✓Have received Maritime Environmental Training [MEMT] -Desirable
✓Have safety engineering experience in a relatable
✓Be Degree qualified [or equivalent] in a relevant engineering discipline.
✓Hold a IEng accredited with the Engineering Council or be actively progressing application
✓You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
