Guidant Global is partnering with MBDA, a trusted Ministry of Defence partner, to seek an experienced Security Contracts & Visits Support Officer
This role involves working in a critical business area to manage security clearances for government contracts and subcontracts, supporting domestic and international businesses, and the visitor process
The successful candidate will work in a small team to process requests, handle daily enquiries, and support the Security Contracts Manager in implementing the Security Contracts and Visits Strategy.
What we're looking for:
Security and Defence Industry work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and customer service experience
Meticulous and accurate with a positive 'can-do attitude
Ability to work in a team, prioritise work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality
IT proficiency in Word and Excel with a willingness to learn new systems
Must obtain national security vetting and BPSS
Problem-solving skills with the ability to negotiate and challenge
Willingness to learn new standards and processes for best practice security
Desirable:
Knowledge of MOD and the Defence Industry
Familiarity with classified Security contracts [F1686, F680, and Security Aspects Letters]
Security Defence experience with classified Contracts/Visits
Knowledge of IVCO process for Visits
Relevant qualifications or industry experience
Security risk management awareness
Presentational skills for training delivery
What you'll get to do as a Security Contracts & Visits Support Officer:
Join a positive and progressive security team and provide comprehensive support for our business.
Record and input all Security Contracts and Visits work accurately and promptly, updating security data and clearance requests in our security systems.
Help the broader business obtain Security Clearances, reduce risk to the organisation, and be the main point of contact for stakeholders regarding Security Contracts and Visits.
Answer enquiries on security processes, liaise with external agencies when needed, and monitor IT platforms and email/post for clearance updates and responses
