Salary: £37,500 - £42,500 depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
Translate business requirements and rules in into technical design specifications, including engaging directly with customers and eliciting requirements and potential UX designs
Build and deploy full stack web applications into the business, using an agile framework/methodology
Investigate and respond to incidents in a timely and responsive manner ensuring service level agreements have been achieved
Create user guides and standard operating procedures
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Knowledge and experience of web development, including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS
As well as knowledge and understanding of material design
Knowledge and understanding of MSSQL / SQL, writing queries using multiple tables, and interpreting results
Knowledge and understanding of front and back-end frameworks such as VueJS, React, Node or .Net
IT / Business related degree [or equivalent] and hands-on experience working in a Microservices / Web Development environmentDesirable:
Knowledge and experience of unit testing and testing frameworks, such as Jest, Cypress
Knowledge of web development CI/CD release pipelines, IDEs, Git and/or Docker.
Knowledge of Authentication methods, such as LDAP, Active Directory, KeyCloak

The Microservices team:
The Microservices team, forming part of the expanding Data & Analytics area of BAE Systems Shared Services, play a critical role in delivering web-based solutions to internal customers throughout the business in a fast-moving, agile environment
Current responsibilities of the team include working closely with key stakeholders - technical and otherwise - to understand requirements and design and develop internal systems as well as maintaining and responding to incidents for their existing suite of products
The Microservices teamwork with the latest and greatest technologies within the web development domain and are continually supporting new ways of working to better refine their capability to the business.
