✓Salary: £22,175 - £22,988 per annum [Pro-rata]

✓Street Cleansing Operative – The Role:
✓We are currently recruiting a part-time Street Cleansing Operative to work primarily at the George Yard Multi-storey Car Park, Braintree, as well as work as part of the street cleaning team to keep Braintree Town Centre looking well maintained.
✓The main tasks at George Yard Multi-storey Car Park include locking the premises, litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping and cleaning of the lifts and stairwells
✓You will also be required to carry out general street cleansing duties at other locations across the Braintree, Witham and Halstead areas.
✓Street Cleansing Operative – Key Responsibilities:
✓- Ability to work outdoors in all weathers together with the ability to walk, bend, kneel and stand for long periods of time and perform heavy lifting if needed- Must work the following working pattern: 20 hours per week, the working hours are Sunday 1pm to 6pm and Monday-Wednesday 3pm to 8pm- A full clean driving licence together with a 7.5 tonne licence [desirable but not essential]- Ability to work in a team or individual based environment- Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation of the street scene service- Polite and helpful with the public at all times- Have an understanding of Health & Safety systems including manual handling and risk assessments and safe systems of work
✓Street Cleansing Operative – You:
✓- Experience of working in an outdoor environment and of undertaking a range of manual tasks
✓- Understanding of Health and Safety systems including manual handling and risk assessment
✓- Some experience of street cleansing together with a working knowledge of tools and plant used in street cleansing activities including street sweeping machines would be desirable
