Trials Technician

DescriptionThis role is responsible for: ensuring allocated tests and trials are competed in a safe manner to the highest quality standards, to customer time and cost constraints; and, proactively driving a strong safety culture.
This includes [but not limited to]:
Ensure all equipment required for test and trials are maintained to a high standard and suitable for the task.
Use of lifting equipment including fork lift trucks.
Completion of equipment records.
Setting up, operation and breaking down of test arenas.
Providing test data to the Trials Engineer as part of a test report for the customer.
Continuous Improvement of the Ridsdale range test facilities and capabilities.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of SHE legislation and Business safe systems of work for self and others.
Carry out training as and when required.
Any other reasonable duties as required by the General Manager
Due to the nature of the work environment, the job holder is required to have the ability to provide innovative and practical solutions to complex issues; negotiate, establish and agree outcomes with others; make decisions in a dynamic way; have a positive 'can do' attitude; and, deliver continuous improvement.
Skills and qualifications:
Experience of working within a mechanical environment.
Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 desirable.
Use of SAP, Microsoft Office and Teamcenter are desirable.
Have a recognised Safety and Health Management qualification e.g
IOSH, desirable
