Description✓People & Culture Officer [Maternity Cover]

✓About the Role:
✓As a People & Culture Officer, you will partner with the operations team and central People & Culture teams to attract great talent and ensure an engaging employee experience
✓This is an opportunity to support colleague welfare and well-being, drive employee relations, and contribute to a positive work environment based in Bawdsey.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓Employee Relations
✓Provide expert advice and guidance on People policies, procedures, and employee relations concerns.
✓Collaborate with management teams to achieve optimal outcomes for both the business and individuals.
✓Support case management, including investigations, disciplinary matters, capability issues, complaints, and grievances.
✓Liaise with the central People and Culture team for any formal or serious incidents involving employees.Welfare and Wellbeing
✓Act as a wellbeing champion, providing advice and encouraging colleagues to manage their mental and physical health.
✓Lead centre welfare practices, including external support signposting and support for absent colleagues.
✓Promote the usage of the Employee Assistance Programme and Company wellbeing initiatives.
✓Partner with line managers to support well-being conversations and conduct health and well-being risk assessments.
✓Analyse data such as sickness absence stats, EAP data, and employee survey feedback to provide recommendations.Employee Experience
✓Collaborate with department managers to ensure a positive colleague arrival and departure experience.
✓Oversee colleague communal and residential accommodation areas, promoting cleanliness, maintenance, and a positive and safe environment.
✓Uphold accommodation standards and address residential employee concerns.
✓Qualifications and Skills:
✓Previous experience in people management, advisory HR, or People & Culture role.
✓Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
✓Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
✓Experience in delivering training sessions.
✓Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
✓CIPD Level 5 HR qualification [or equivalent] is desirable.
✓Familiarity with recruiting safely and safeguarding practices.
✓GCSE Grade A-C in English, Maths, or Functional Skills Level 2 [or willingness to work towards].
✓Health and Safety qualification at Level 2 or above and First Aid at Work certification [or willingness to work towards].
