HR Assistant [Onboarding]

DescriptionWe are looking for a HR Assistant to join a large housing provider in London
Working as part of a large HR department, this role sits within the recruitment function and has a responsibility for onboarding new starters
* Independently manage up 75 candidates simultaneously.
* Request references, DBS checks, right to work documents, verify DBS identity documents
* Generate and send contracts and offer letters to candidates.
* Keep an MS Excel onboarding tracker 100% up-to-date and accurate at all times
* Process new joiner to payroll in line with payroll processing deadlines.
* Liaise with candidates by phone & email to explain onboarding processes and manage them towards a start date.
* Provide regular and ad-hoc updates to hiring managers on the progress of their onboarding candidates.
* Update HR files with all relevant compliance documents.
* Update our HRIS [Zellis ResourceLink] with all relevant information required for onboarding and payroll processing.
* Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure great candidate experience.
* Work independently with a high volume of onboarding candidates.
* Utilise problem-solving skills to resolve bottlenecks.
Essential experience
* Onboarding administrator experience - standalone, not as a part of a larger role
* Stakeholder management [Hiring Managers, candidates and talent acquisition team] - understands the importance of transparent & regular communication.
* End-to-end candidate onboarding at high volumes [75+ at any one time].
* Microsoft Excel - competent user
Able to keep a large Excel tracker database 100% up to date and accurate at all times.
* MS Sharepoint - understands how it is used for file storage.
* HR Information Systems - Zellis ResourceLink preferred.
* Applicant Tracking System - Talentlink preferred.
* Contract and offer letter generation.
* DBS check processing - including awareness of ID requirements, common issues, DBS Update Service checks [Essential].
* Reference requests - able to support candidates to conform to stringent reference check processes [Essential].
* Experience of onboading in Care & Support - including CQC registered services [Essential].
* Excellent written communication [Essential - will be assessed at interview].
* Confident telephone manner.
* Able to interpret data to identify bottlenecks and priorities and take action to resolve
