Operational Trainer

We are excited to be recruiting for an Operational Trainer to deliver operational skills and compliance training to ensure production colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their role.
This is a brand new role, permanent position, based at our Kinmel Factory, and is an amazing opportunity to make a real impact.

Our kitchens in Thirsk and Kinmel produce dry, wet and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.
Key Accountabilities:
Delivery induction of new colleagues along with essential training and buddying in the first 12 weeks of employment to ensure they achieve the required level within their probationary period and beyond
Work with subject matter experts to maintain, update and develop standard operating procedures including working practice updates, coordinating and delivering refresher training, through observations, assessments, retraining or policy and procedure updates for colleagues
In line with agreed standards, deliver training in specific areas of legal compliance such as SOP’s, safe systems of work, hygiene, Health and Safety, Compliance/BRC food safety, CCPs and CICs
Verify training previously carried out to ensure colleagues are carrying out their work activity in accordance with the systems and procedures in place - Quality check, govern and validate training and competence standards are being met through regular audit
Maintain skills matrices and training records for all colleagues on site
Monitoring and reviewing progress of learners through feedback questionnaires, observations and discussions with managers.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Previous experience in same similar role
Demonstrable attention to detail
Quality driven
A working knowledge of production and manufacturing processes - ideally with Food / Pet
A good level of competency using Microsoft including Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint
Hands on experience buddying and coaching individuals to learn new tasks
Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent - desirable
The Offer:

Location: Kinmel, Rhyl, North Wales
Pay Rate: Competitive
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday [between the hours of 6am to 6pm]
Pension: NEST - Employee contributions 5% / Employer contribution 3%
