Junior Block Manager

DescriptionMy client is a progressive and leading property and block management company and due to their continued success, they now require a Junior Block Manager to join their team.
As an Junior Block Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Block Manager in the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of properties
Your duties will include managing tenant relationships, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and ensuring that all properties are compliant with local regulations
You will also be responsible for managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that rent is collected on time
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be highly detail-oriented, and have a good understanding of the rental market
Experience in property management and knowledge of relevant legislation is also highly desirable.
Although previous experience is preferable, they will ensure that training is provided as part of the role to ensure the highest level of service is provided.
As an Junior Block Manager, your duties and responsibilities may include:
- Assisting the Property Manager in managing a portfolio of properties
- Managing your own smaller portfolio
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs for properties
- Managing tenant relationships and responding to tenant inquiries and concerns
- Ensuring that all properties are compliant with local regulations and safety standards
- Managing budgets and preparing financial reports
- Ensuring that rent is collected on time and following up on late payments
- Conducting property inspections and ensuring that properties are well-maintained
- Assisting with marketing and advertising properties to attract new tenants
- Preparing lease agreements and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently
- Assisting with evictions and other legal matters related to property management
Minimum Requirements
* Experience working in the block management sector or rental sector
* Great communication skills
* A passion for customer service
* IT literate
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
Desirable Requirements
* Experience using Qube
* Industry related qualifications such as IRPM / RICS / IOSH
Salary Range & Benefits
This position is paying a competitive salary of £22K - £25K, depending on experience.
