Job Purpose
We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced maintenance operative to join our South East based NHS Healthcare team
This team has been appointed to provide a planned and reactive maintenance service to our end client, a world class provider of emergency and urgent health care services in pre-hospital and out of hospital environments
Services are to be provided across Surrey and Sussex
Rydon Maintenance are committed to provide a first-class planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service to ensure that this Trust is able to continue to deliver its services without disruption.
As part of this maintenance role, you will provide repairs to ambulance stations, make-ready centres and emergency response outposts in a patch around Surrey and Sussex
There will be a particular emphasis on plumbing maintenance and repairs but the ideal candidate would be willing and have the ability to get involved in a variety of general building maintenance tasks
Works could include changing taps, carrying out repairs to pipework through to replacing door handles and locks and other general maintenance and PPM checks including testing of water temperatures.
Normal working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. There is also the opportunity to participate in an on-call rota system [which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs].
What we can offer you;
A competitive starting salary

A company van and fuel card

25 days holiday with the ability to increase up to 30 days.

Access to an employee discount scheme which includes a wide-range of special offers and discounts on insurances, lifestyle goods and services.

Company pension and life assurance.

Flexible benefits for you to choose from including Critical Illness, DenPlan, Medical Insurance, GymFlex and Cycle to work schemes.

Health and wellness benefits such as free flu vaccinations, access to an Employee Assistance and Wellbeing Programme, BUPA Health & Wellbeing Plans, access to our Health and Wellbeing portal with an extensive range of advice and resources and much much more!

Opportunities to progress your career across the business.

Full training, ongoing coaching and support.
Experience Required
Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential, ideally within the NHS [or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS]
That said this is by no means essential and candidates with experience of providing planned/reactive maintenance in a commercial/education environment [such as hotels, supermarkets, schools etc] will also be considered
The successful candidate will hold a minimum NVQ level 2 in a relevant trade [ideally plumbing] and will have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about providing high quality repairs.
This is a genuinely diverse role with excellent scope for personal development
If you have the above skills and experience, we'd strongly encourage you to apply.
This is a mobile opportunity [and as such a full driving license is required].
