Maintenance Operative [Multi]

✓We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced multi skilled maintenance operative with a plumbing bias to join our South East based NHS Healthcare team.

✓Job Purpose
✓We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced maintenance operative to join our South East based NHS Healthcare team
✓This team has been appointed to provide a planned and reactive maintenance service to our end client, a world class provider of emergency and urgent health care services in pre-hospital and out of hospital environments
✓Services are to be provided across Surrey and Sussex
✓Rydon Maintenance are committed to provide a first-class planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service to ensure that this Trust is able to continue to deliver its services without disruption.
✓As part of this maintenance role, you will provide repairs to ambulance stations, make-ready centres and emergency response outposts in a patch around Surrey and Sussex
✓There will be a particular emphasis on plumbing maintenance and repairs but the ideal candidate would be willing and have the ability to get involved in a variety of general building maintenance tasks
✓Works could include changing taps, carrying out repairs to pipework through to replacing door handles and locks and other general maintenance and PPM checks including testing of water temperatures.
✓Normal working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. There is also the opportunity to participate in an on-call rota system [which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs].

✓Experience Required
✓Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential, ideally within the NHS [or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS]
✓That said this is by no means essential and candidates with experience of providing planned/reactive maintenance in a commercial/education environment [such as hotels, supermarkets, schools etc] will also be considered
✓The successful candidate will hold a minimum NVQ level 2 in a relevant trade [ideally plumbing] and will have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about providing high quality repairs.
