Social Housing Recruitment have exclusively partnered with a national provider of specialised temporary housing, supporting prison leavers with stable accommodation and providing the support they need
The organisation we are partnered with are passionate about making a real difference and helping ex-offenders re-integrate into society, live fulfilled lives and get back on track.
The business is seeking someone to work in a diverse role to work within their Luton office, with the opportunity to work alongside supported housing officers, which will aid prison leavers and ex-offenders to ensure a smooth reintegration and that the conditions of the parole are met
As the Coordinator, you will also play a key role in developing connections within the local community, which will allow you to support these individuals immensely
This can include helping provide Christmas hampers or support with any other religious events to aid those in need!

This will be a highly rewarding role, operating within a team of likeminded professionals and managing a team of Housing Support Officers, who will help to establish internal networks.
Key responsibilities:
* Being the point of call for field based staff, ensuring they have the required support to carry out their role effectively.
* Managing the housing team to establish a strong relationship and ensure the service is operating smoothly.
* Answering and responding to emergency calls efficiently.
* Managing schedules and data surrounding holidays and planned absences, to ensure adequate cover across the regions.
* Managing stock and overseeing expenses.
* Establishing relationships with third parties e.g
local charities and other partner agencies.
The successful Housing Coordinator will have:
* Experience of working with ex-offenders either within the capacity of a support worker or housing officer.
* Experience within the probation service or prison service will also be considered.
* Experience and knowledge surrounding CAS3.
* Experience of managing their own diary, working autonomously and have the ability to prioritise.
This role will operate based from their Luton Office, and provides autonomy to manage good portions of your diary, promoting a good work life balance
The organisation also offer a competitive salary of up to circa £32,000, with a company vehicle and fuel card
In addition, they offer 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 26 days with service, a health cash plan and a company expense card.
