Accommodation Support Officer
Description✓Siamo Recruitment are currently looking for an Accommodation Support Officer based in the Flintshire area, on a long term temporary basis.
✓This role will involve working within a team to provide housing related support services in the community which enables vulnerable service users across all tenures to live independently within their own homes and delay the need for more intensive interventions and prevent homelessness

✓To visit and provide long term, housing related support to service users who have been identified as having support needs to enable them to sustain independent living.
✓To identify any additional support needs and assist Team Leader with the completion of referrals to other agencies, internal and external.
✓To complete individual support plans for service user’s and complete reviews, update and document any changes in circumstances and action taken as they occur.
✓To support service users to access benefits/debt or other advice and act on that advice
✓To support the client to claim appropriate benefits which will maximise the client’s income, and provide support to enable the client to understand their entitlements.
✓To advocate on behalf of the Service User’s with Private Landlords / Housing Officers etc, on issues relating to tenancy conditions, rent arrears and any other housing related matters
✓To respond to emergency alarm calls from the service user and summons assistance from the appropriate emergency service if required.
✓To be responsible for completing comprehensive records and reviewing on a regular basis to ensure up-to-date records are held both locally and at Regional Monitoring Centre.
✓To comply with Health and Safety Policy on lone working
✓Please note you will be required to be on call one day per week, between 6pm and 6am Monday to Friday or across Saturday and Sunday if successful for this role.
