Contracts Manager

✓Grafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Contract Manager to our public sector client based in Bedford
✓The Contract Manager will ensure the effective contract management across a range of contracts within the organisation
✓They will work as part of the Procurement Team, ensuring that contracts are tracked, recorded and that supplier delivery of contracts is as set out in tender specifications and KPIs.
✓Main Duties of the Contract Manager:
✓Deliver a range of functions to support contractual processes within an agreed portfolio to ensure that the quality of contracted services is of a consistently high standard.
✓Support delivery of the agreed process to negotiate new contracts and re-negotiate existing contracts relevant to the portfolio so that customer priorities are met, and contracts are agreed in accordance with the service specification, KPI's and supplier commitments.
✓Support the identification of opportunities for efficiencies and better value for money within and across contracts and recommend actions to the Head of Procurement/ Category Lead/ Department Heads.
✓Chair supplier contract meetings, ensuring minutes of meetings are available and shared with all stakeholders.
✓Undertake ad-hoc reviews of specific contracted services, for example to support service specifications, working with complex data, facts and situations requiring analysis, interpretations and comparisons on a range of options and making recommendations on the most appropriate approach based on analysis, knowledge, and experience.
✓Role Criteria for the Contract Manager:
✓Evidence of relevant post qualification training or experience and continuing professional development
✓Detailed understanding of PCR 2015 Regulations and the procurement life cycle
✓Knowledge of business processes supporting clinical service delivery
✓In depth understanding of the Social Value Act, Social Value Model and its practical implementation and delivery within contracts
✓The ability to analyse data and systems to determine and highlight areas of risk and to develop and provide plans and solutions to maximise value for money and contractual performance
✓Detailed practical experience of the contract management of strategic contracts within a public sector organisation
✓Experience of chairing contract management meetings with internal and external stakeholders in person and via IT applications such as Zoom or MS Teams
