✓Finance Manager required to join a public sector organisation based in West Yorkshire on a permanent basis
✓My client is looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys a varied role and is keen to add value to an already successful team.
✓As the Finance Manager you will focus on the financial management of the organisation, alongside the various duties below;
✓Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
✓Promote robust and efficient financial administration and management; to develop and update procedures, protocols and policy accordingly
✓Prepare and develop the annual budget
✓Manage month-end, mid-year and year-end procedures.
✓Advise budget holders of any significant variances, providing financial advice, support and information to staff, services and external organisations.
✓Manage the maintenance of financial records for the organisation, including the processing of invoices and various claims and recharges.
✓Manage the raising of sales invoices and collection of payments from various collaborative provision partners.
✓Provide information and expertise to budget holders and managers in the planning, costing of, setting up and monitoring of Projects/Commercial activities and Research projects.
✓Deal with auditors as and when required
✓Regularly review the training needs of the staff with regards to Finance.Required skills and experience of the Finance Manager:
✓ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification or QBE
✓Previous experience within a finance setting
✓Ability to work with integrated finance systems
✓Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
✓Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
✓Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
✓Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
