Head of Corporate Governance and Risk
Description✓Finegreen are currently supporting a Healthcare organisation based in London for the recruitment of a Head of Corporate Governance and Risk Management.
✓This is a 12-month fixed term contract which will involve hybrid working and require on-site for business needs only
✓The salary will be between £56,678 - £60,141 pa and will depend on experience
✓The post holder will lead, manage, and develop a small team to provide the full range of governance services, working with the Executive Director to provide advice to the Chief Executive on all issues relating to corporate governance.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓Ensure the organisations affairs are undertaken to the highest standards of probity and according to statutory and legislative requirements and relevant best practice;
✓Support the Executive Director in providing regulatory Assurance and Risk Management;
✓Ensure the Board of Trustee, Council and their Committees are properly constituted, fully compliant, operated and supported;
✓Oversee a high-quality Secretariat function ensuring the effective working of the Board of Trustees, Board Sub-Committees, Executive Directors, Council, and associated committees;
✓Oversee the delivery of legal advice and the complaints policy;
✓Provide advice and support on best practice risk management methodologies and the processes to identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate risk;
✓Responsible for managing and presenting the Executive Corporate Risk Register and Board Assurance Framework to the applicable committees and groups;
✓Maintain a document control inventory log, providing relevant data and reports for assurance and compliance monitoring.
✓Successful candidate will have:
✓Experience working within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;
✓Extensive experience working in corporate governance, risk management and legal compliance;
✓Strong expertise of board and committee secretariat duties;
✓Experience of document management systems;
✓Understanding of assurance and risk management principles and how they apply within a corporate context;
✓Methodical approach to tasks with attention to detail;
✓Able to work to deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities;
✓Excellent communication skills.
