Information, Data and Support Officer

DescriptionWorking on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Information, Data & Support Officer on an initial one month contract with the possibility for further extension.
Main purpose of the job:
To assist development and growth of provision by providing an effective support service to the staff and users of Employment, Learning & Skills provision
You will contribute to strategic plans by providing data for statistical reports and funding returns
Working with the Marketing and Communications team you will develop and implement areas of promotion to widen delivery of Adult and Family Learning courses.
Key duties and responsibilities:
To have key responsibility for maintaining data on Unit-e MIS; entering information, producing timely reports for statistical returns and contributing to the design of Unit-e MIS.
To be responsible for keeping up to date with any changes to funding requirements affecting the collection of data using specialist knowledge to implement those changes in a timely manner
To assist with implementing requirements of Funding Body audits.
To engage with and develop relationships with partners including external training providers, NLDC Projects, schools and Children's Centres, employers and voluntary organisations throughout the borough to promote and develop the curriculum.
To support Curriculum Managers with timetabling, liaising with partners during weekly site visits to identify and coordinate requests for Employment, Learning & Skills provision.
Using specialist Information Advice and Guidance signpost any requests for support for employment opportunities to HEP & HPiJ Employment Officers
Schedule appointments for assessment of Skills for Life and IT courses using a central booking system.
To provide daily support to Curriculum Management Group including requests for statistical and performance information vital for Inspections, funding returns or monitoring reports.
To process orders and invoices within designated timescales using the Finance Systems e.g
Agresso
To be responsible for collection and reconciliation of course fees and petty cash and depositing and withdrawing of monies into Corporate bank accounts.
To work with Communications and Marketing team to develop and implement a Marketing Plan; including planning and delivering events and organising promotional resources and documentation.
Using specialist knowledge, to be responsible for all accreditation practices and procedures including registration of learners with examining bodies and to work as part of the invigilation team for all examinations, e.g
City & Guilds, GOLA, Ascentis and CACHE
Requirements:
Educated to at least NVQ 3 in a business, employment, training or care related discipline and/or equivalent level of experience in paid or unpaid work
Level 2 [GCSE Grade A-C] in Literacy and Numeracy or a willingness to achieve within 12 months
Proven experience of updating and maintaining a Management Information System
Experience of data handling in producing reports for statistical purposes e.g
Ofsted Inspection, quarterly monitoring reports, etc.
Front line experience of working in a customer focussed environment
Experience of promoting services and developing marketing campaigns
Understanding of Equality and Diversity issues
Experience in use of Microsoft Office Applications
Skilled at communicating with a wide range of individuals [e.g
learners, awarding bodies, managers, etc]
Excellent oral and written communications
