✓Location: West Midlands
✓Contract Type: Full-time, 6-month contract [ASAP start]
✓Panoramic Associates, in partnership with a West Midlands local authority, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Public Health Service Lead for Health Protection
✓As the successful candidate, you will play a vital role in proactively and reactively addressing health protection matters within the council
✓This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the local community.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓* Engage in proactive and reactive health protection duties to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
✓* Provide support during the management of new outbreaks, ensuring effective measures are implemented and appropriate next steps are taken.
✓* Take a proactive approach to health protection by improving immunisation programs and enhancing screening processes.
✓* Collaborate with the Integrated Care Board [ICB] to develop and enhance health protection plans.
✓* Assist in conducting audits and assurance activities to assess the effectiveness of health protection initiatives.
✓* Offer constructive challenges to existing processes, striving for continuous improvement.
✓* Take responsibility for line management, overseeing three direct reports and a team of four.
✓Requirements:
✓* Previous experience working at a similar level within a local authority, specifically in a health protection role.
✓* Demonstrated ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
✓* Strong knowledge of health protection protocols, guidelines, and best practices.
✓* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
✓* Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
