Operations Supervisor
Description✓East Cambs street Scene have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join their team.
✓Location: Cambridgeshire
✓Salary: Basic £35,411 pa Consolidated overtime £7082 pa
✓Operations Supervisor – This Role:
✓This role will require you to take responsibility to build and maintain excellent operational service delivery, leading an effective and efficient team, providing support and encouragement to team members.
✓The post will be based at our operations depot in the district of East Cambridgeshire
✓You will provide shared directional supervision of a large frontline team [65+] and have direct line management of [20-25] crew members.
✓Operations Supervisor – Key Responsibilities:
✓- You will be responsible for effective leadership and co-ordination of the day to day statutory and non-statutory waste collection and street cleansing services
✓- This involves both logistical, proactive and reactive planning of resources, including crew members, vehicles and waste materials to ensure the service is delivered in a safe and efficient manner with great customer service
✓- Ensure that necessary corrective action is taken in respect of service variation and service failures within set response times
✓Quickly problem solve issues such as vehicle breakdowns, lack of staff, road closures and accidents to ensure that the excellent customer service expected at a corporate level is not impacted
✓- You must ensure the operation runs smoothly and any challenges faced do not damage reputation
✓- Be part of the Operational Management Team in the delivery of operational plans and projects
✓- Be required to take part in a rota based team structure which ensures that the early morning operational services and weekend services are rolled out in a timely and efficient manner
✓Operations Supervisor – You:
✓- To be successful within this role you will need to have a real passion for the provision of high-quality service delivery
✓- You will have experience of working in a fast paced, high risk and challenging environment
✓- You will be accountable for making sensible and reactive decisions that ensure the services remain fully compliant with waste, transport and health and safety legislation
✓Additionally you will have;
✓- Experience of contributing and implementing projects or work plans to improve performance and drive continuous improvement
✓- Ability to lead a high performing team and communicate clearly and effectively, delegating tasks fairly and motivating staff to achieve their goals
