Part Time Tenancy Sustainment Officer [Perm: Surrey]
Description✓An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Part Time Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join the housing department at one of Adecco's most improved public sector clients in Surrey
✓The salary is £14,063 plus £480 car allowance per annum.
✓Based in Epsom in Surrey but offering hybrid working, this is a part time role [14 hours per week] and a car driver/owner is essential [so that you can carry out visits at residents' homes]
✓In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that our client is fully prepared to respond to the challenges posed by welfare reform by providing a comprehensive and up to date benefits advice service, promoting financial and digital inclusion, improving opportunity for employment, education and training and promoting the environmental agenda.
✓Reporting into the Income Recovery Manager, you will improve the prospects of our client's customers by ensuring they are socially included and best prepared for the future.
✓Other key elements of the role include:
✓* Ensuring income maximisation for customers through the take up of benefit and general debt advice
✓* Improving the financial confidence of customers including budgeting and money management skills
✓* Providing a comprehensive welfare benefits and general financial support service to customers
✓* Leading on financial inclusion campaigns and the development of appropriate financial services
✓* Maximising rent collection by having frank discussions with current tenants and making repayment arrangements
✓* Pursuing former tenant debts and where absolutely necessary recommend debts for write off
✓* Ensuring any debts that accrue as a result of a recharge are repaid or referred to the debt collection agency
✓* Increasing customers access to digital services
✓* Promoting comprehensive employment advice services to customers
✓* Providing basic energy advice to help combat fuel poverty
✓* Working with colleagues across the organisation to support, maintain and sustain tenancies
✓A good knowledge of welfare benefits and the reforms as well as excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to explain complex information to a variety of audiences is key for this role.
