Permit Co-ordinator
Description✓Belmont Recruitment are currently working with The London Borough of Barking of Dagenham to recruit for a Permit Co-ordinator
✓This role is responsible for managing and coordinating permits and licenses applications, ensuring that My Place is meeting statutory duties and complying with regulations, for its highways and footways network.
✓Overview:
✓* Run the permits and licenses application schemes on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the Council fulfils its statutory role around keeping the highways and footways network resilient and safe.
✓* Ensure there is a clear understanding of the works and standards that external parties and suppliers need to comply with in order to minimize disruption to the network and manage risks effectively.
✓* Build working relationships with stakeholders such as utilities companies and Transport for London to coordinate infrastructure works taking place on highways and footways within the borough.
✓* Ensure that income from license and permits, inspections, and breaches of conditions is maximized; primarily through meeting statutory timescales for processing applications and carrying out inspections, as well as prompt billing of customers.
✓* Be responsible for coordinating inspections to assure compliance of all Council street assets.
✓Hybrid working with just one day in the office each week.
✓Hourly rate: up to £21.00
