✓What the Welsh Translator will be doing
✓As a Welsh Translator you will work closely with colleagues across various service areas in the business to ensure that we go beyond the Welsh language translation standards and work to ensure all our content is bilingual, accessible and meets the needs of the user.
✓Work with designers and communicators to create accessible, user-centred bilingual content.
✓Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices for bilingual content.
✓Handling translation demand and resources whilst quality assuring the standard of translation documents.
✓Proofreading documents that have been translated.
✓Translating content.
✓Participate in Wales-wide communities of practice to share learning and experiences
✓What the successful Welsh Translator will bring to the team
✓You will have prior experience with
✓Demonstrable experience in translation skills including translating from Welsh to English and English to Welsh.
✓Written and oral fluency in the Welsh and English languages.
✓Good working knowledge and experience of IT, websites, and intranet sites.
✓Excellent reading and writing skills; writing content, proofreading, acute attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
