✓£150 per day PAYE
✓We have an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join a busy rail company to become part of their procurement team working to support various business units. The business units could include business operations, fleet, services, asset management and projects.
✓The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a similar role with excellent organisational skills along with strong knowledge of correct procurement processes.
✓Responsibilities will include:
✓• Support Procurement Managers, where necessary, with strategic procurement projects
✓• Maintain contracts database on behalf of the team.
✓• Run relevant reports required for procurement’s business plan commitments to the DfT under our National Rail Contract
✓• Ability to manage supplier review process / conduct due diligence [i.e., credit reports, accreditations]; and
✓• Ability to own / implement a supplier risk matrix capturing spend and contract renewals
