Buyer
Description✓We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join a progressive company based in Loughborough, Leicestershire on a full time and permanent basis
✓This role offers 22 days holiday plus the Christmas break and bank holidays, Hybrid working and a Company Pension and Life Cover.
✓The role offers a salary of circa £30,000 per annum depending on experience
✓About the role:
✓The Buyer role is Hybrid with flexible working typically, you would be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
✓Main Tasks & Responsibilities
✓* As the Buyer, you will support with the implementation of the procurement strategy
✓* Develop and improve the procurement processes including inventory, goods in/out and ERP processes
✓* Identify new suppliers and negotiate best pricing
✓* Support Sales team and process RFI/RFQ through to supplier sign off
✓* Analyse spend data, identify costs, saving opportunities and report to senior leadership team
✓* Support inventory, stock and logistics activities
✓* Liaise with Production to help resolve supplier quality issues
✓* Support Continuous Improvement with new and existing supplier selection and development, including Supplier Assessment & Suppliers Audits
✓* Help investigate stock discrepancies, initiating appropriate corrective action, and highlighting procedural failures leading to stock errors
✓* Support other commercial operations
✓About you:
✓* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a purchasing role
✓* Experience within a manufacturing environment
✓* Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build client relationships
✓* Analytical mind with excellent attention to detail
✓* Experience developing ERP processes
✓* Problem-solving skills and can prioritise workload effectively
✓* MCIPS qualification or studying towards
✓* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
