Packaging Technologist

The Packaging Technologist is responsible for delivery of packaging projects in the factory/supply area for which they are responsible.
Key to this role are:
•    Management and execution of Packaging activities - to support delivery of Projects including, NPD/EPD, GM, Productivity, Capex Qualification and implementation of new technology to support compliance.
•    Leading the approach and execution of Packaging validation 
•    Packaging Technical expertise – Understanding packaging manufacturing and supply chain in order to provide technical solutions and resolution of quality issues.
•    Support operations, quality and engineering in the resolution of any issues affecting current business involving packaging components or equipment
•    Working with engineering, validation and operations teams to ensure all equipment and processes within the packaging area are fully validated
•    Responsible for delivery of assigned projects, .including technical execution, management of project costs and timings.
•    Coach and develop packaging technicians to deliver KPIs, improve individual & team capability 
What will you be responsible for?
•    Support resolution of issues affecting current business
o    Fully conversant with production line operations pertinent to delivering quality, safety and efficiency
o    Support factory troubleshooting that are packaging related such as design, specification, supplier changes.
o    Co-ordinate with other functions to validate any changes in equipment, packaging or procedures
o    Support factory change control process
o    Support compliance and QA functions with related to internal or external audits.
•    Ensure all equipment and processes within packaging area are fully validated
o    Identify and understand key gaps via regular reviews with validation, operations, quality and engineering teams
o    Support validation department in prioritising activity for completion and impact assessment
