✓Or client, a world leader in the food and fresh sectors and urgently seeks a procurement and logistics coordinator due to growth.
✓Your main objective is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the factory from a material perspective.
✓Roles and responsibilities but not limited to
✓* Updating and maintaining the accuracy of the Material Requirements Planning [MRP] and Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] systems
✓This involves utilizing forecasts, monitoring sales against forecasts, and making necessary adjustments to supplier relationships and production schedules.
✓* Facilitating effective communication with all departments on a daily basis to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of activities.
✓* Engaging in proactive planning to anticipate range changes and peak periods for raw materials, ensuring timely availability.
✓* Ensuring sufficient on-site stock levels to meet short-term order volumes and promptly flagging any potential shortages.
✓* Responding to changes in production plans promptly, arranging for materials to be sourced from both offsite and onsite warehouses.
✓* Collaborating closely with suppliers and internal personnel to actively seek out new products, suppliers, and alternative materials that can enhance our competitive position.
✓* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information systems, including prices, lead times, payment terms, and contractual terms and conditions.
✓* Developing strong relationships with suppliers to optimize the total cost of acquisition and secure the best possible pricing and terms.
✓To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience within a similar role in fresh produce or food production.
