DescriptionA sofa and beds retailer is looking to recruit a QA Manager
THE COMPANY
A sofa and beds retailer are looking for a QA Manager to join them and report to the Head of Quality
If you have sofa or bed manufacturing experience and are interested in moving into a retail head office role this would be a great opportunity to do so.
THE ROLE
* You will be responsible for delivering the quality strategy for your category ensuring legal, safe and fit for purpose products are available for customers, with the aim of reducing customer complaints, faulty returns and negative customer reviews
* Conduct product risk assessments, technical benchmarking, and user trials to ensure products meet brand guidelines
* Approve samples, packaging, copy, instruction manuals and relevant documentation in line with the critical path, meeting agreed timescales to deliver products for sale.
* Organise in line and pre shipment inspections
* Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers ensure your products are meeting standards complying with legislation in the UK and other countries
* Analyse returns and agree corrective action plans/improvements
* Provide technical advice and support to buying and customer service teams
* Manage a Junior Technologist
ABOUT YOU
You will have demonstrable experience of working in a Quality-focused role with a good understanding of frames and foams
You may already be working as an established Quality Manager, Technical Manager, Senior QA Technologist / Product Technologist or similar
You may have Retail Head Office or Manufacturing experience
You’ll have good organisation skills, be able to manage your own workload and able to meet tight deadlines
Due to their location, you will need access to a car.
THE REWARD
