ACIVITY AND WELLBEING COORDINATOR
Description✓Job Title: Engagement and Wellbeing Co-ordinator
✓Reporting to: The Home Manager
✓Purpose of Role/Job Summary:
✓Plan and deliver a person centred, meaningful programme of activities to residents appropriate to the varied level of ability
✓Aim to ensure that all residents in the home lead fulfilling lives, and that the programmes are enhanced through the life history approach and in-depth understanding of the interests of residents.
✓Key Responsibilities & Duties

✓Plan and Deliver Personalised and Meaningful Activities
✓• Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents with a range of abilities and dependency levels on an individual and group basis, including external entertainment, therapists and events and is inclusive and encourages engagement from all.
✓• Ensure the activities programme meets the needs of residents in terms of content and times of delivery, including activities that take place at weekends and in the evenings.
✓• Prepare a four-week rolling programme and a detailed weekly plan and save in the SharePoint activities home folder.
✓• Share activities planner in a timely manner so that the weekly programme is publicised on the electronic notice board for residents, and staff.
✓• Manage the Resident of the Week programme – select the resident and then complete the form indicating favourite item and food – arrange gift and food with the kitchen, notify the Business Administrator for the relative newsletter.
✓• Work with other activities staff to share ideas on programming and external events, as well as large scale events across all three homes.
✓• In conjunction with your line manager discuss resources and equipment needed and assist in
✓tracking of spending for the team.
✓• Where therapeutic activities or external entertainers are provided, request timely feedback from residents to ensure the activity is achieving value for money and the maximum number of residents’ benefit.
✓• Maintain a register of activities and attendance on CMS and create action plans for residents who are not engaging in activities.
✓• Ensure that each resident has an individualised activities care plan on CMS, and that this is reviewed monthly.
✓• Run frequent activity forums with residents to gather feedback on the current activities programme, and support the development of the activities programme.
✓• Attend resident’s committee meetings as requested.
✓• Plan outings in conjunction with the Home Manager and ensure that residents on outings have sufficient staff supervision and an appropriate supply of PPE and First aid kit etc
✓for all outings.

✓Qualifications and Training:
✓* • GCSEs or Equivalent in English and Maths.
✓* • A Levels or Equivalent.
✓Previous Work Experience:
✓* • Experience of working in a care, activities, or therapy role in a health-related sector.
✓* • Experience of running group and individual activities with minimum supervision.
✓* • Experience of working in a team.
