As a Business Administration Apprentice, within this expanding organisation, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of Care facilities
This opportunity will provide the ideal candidates with hands on experience, earn whilst you learn, but most importantly work towards gaining their Level 3 in Business Administration.
The ideal candidate will be mainly based within the Administrator Hubb at Derby House Liverpool
They will work within a small team of administrators, which is led by the Regional Administrator
The admin role is quite varied and will involve some of the following tasks:
* Ensure continuity of Payroll
Arrange accurate calculation of gross wages on weekly basis using computer and manual systems.
* Ensure that the staff training matrix is maintained and accurate.
* Record and monitor annual leave, sickness, trackers, reports.
* Prepare and maintain staff HR files, reference checks, DBS checks.
* Process receipts of monies against clients’ accounts, maintain accurate records.
* Prepare and submit relevant invoices for residents, process fees and provide weekly report of monies received and monies outstanding.
* Manage the petty cash and record onto electronic accounts software.
* Ensure that all orders to suppliers are supported by electronic purchase orders
Ensuring orders are received and correct.
* Process supplier invoices for payment, enter onto tracker and electronic accounts software.
* Provide administrative support to the Home Manager, Regional Administrator with typing, filing, dealing with correspondences, attending meetings, and recording minutes, typing up and circulating.
* Operate office equipment such as photocopier, printer, telephone, and computer etc.
* Answer the telephone, respond to enquiries from Clients and visitors in reception, and re-direct enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
* Ensure post is dealt with and forward to correct department if necessary.
Things to Consider:
* An enhanced DBS check will be requested if an individual is offered a position, the full cost of this check will be paid for.
* A choice of lunch is provided to all employees, free of charge.

* An additional days’ is given leave for birthdays.
Working Hours/Wage:-
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm [40 hours minus half an hour unpaid lunch]
Total working hours – 37.5pw
Wage - £5.28ph x 37.5 = £198 per week
Desired Qualifications:
GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above [or equivalent]
Training to be Given:
You will work towards your Business Administration Level 3
This involves demonstrating strong communication skills [both written and verbal] and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills
Showing initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem solving skills and decision making.
Blended learning of online and work-based learning with your advisor.

Future Prospects:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, a full-time permanent position may be offered
