At present we are working with a range of providers in Wimbledon and as such, we are recruiting for a pool of qualified and experienced practitioners to join our temporary workforce.

We are currently recruiting for an Ofsted registered children's residential home in the heart of Croydon, which provides care for children and young people who present emotional and behavioural difficulties.
we are in need of candidates who can manage challenging behaviours, whilst building meaningful, and trusting relationships with young people, with the overall aim of reducing harm, and working towards positive outcomes.
This role is based within an Ofsted regulated home, and as such, successful candidates will need to have at least 6 months experience, working in a similar setting, with people under the age of 18.
The day to day duties of this role will involve:
- Carrying out regular supervision of young people, working as part of a robust support team
- Managing challenging behaviours in non-confrontational ways
- Ensuring you support colleagues with emergency situations where necessary
- Producing accurate and factual reports based on observations, and ensuring relevant information is shared with appropriate professionals
- Understanding the expectations set by Ofsted, within regulated home provisions
- Understand the Childrens act 1989 & 2015
- Understanding trauma informed practice
- Support all young people to participate in education, and volunteering opportunities, as appropriate, for the development of their skills, assets and aspirations.
- Participate in a Rota system shift pattern which will include sleep-in duties, offering flexibility where necessary to support the service needs
- Regularly complete required paperwork
About you:
" Experience working in a residential children's home will be an advantage,
" NVQ Level 3 in Social Care is must.
" Strong interpersonal skills, who would like to make a difference in young people's lives
" Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
" Ability to generate trust and credibility when working as part of a team and be reliable.
" Problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm within stressful situations.
