Children's Residential Senior Support Worker
Description✓Are you an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker looking for your next challenge?
✓We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join an established Children's Residential Provider
✓You would be joining a team of professionals delivering high quality care to three young service users with complex behaviour.
✓The home is based in North West London with great links to the local train/rail network
✓Shifts will be worked on a basis of 2 days on / 4 days off with all staff, paid full time, for 40 hours a week
✓There won't be a need for constant travel throughout the week for many shifts.

✓Duties and Responsibilities:
✓* To provide primary basic care and a nurturing, therapeutic environment to help the child progress.
✓* Manage the home effectively in the absence of the home or deputy manager.
✓* Effectively lead shifts, direct and support the staff team.
✓* To mentor and support staff and manage individual and team performance to ensure a standard of excellent service delivery.
✓* Ensure the effective monitoring and control of all expenditure accounted for in accordance with financial procedures.
✓* To manage health and safety processes in the home including implementation and monitoring of risk assessments.
✓* To support the induction process of new colleagues.
✓* To model a robust commitment to safe guarding actively promoting the welfare of children and young people
✓* To contribute to care planning and the implementation of these plans.
✓* To work alongside psychologists to enable effective integration of care and therapy.
✓* To work with children and young people and their prospective carers to ensure the child’s successful integration into a family when placed.
✓* To be a key carer of a child or young person where designated.

✓* To share in the practical activities necessary to maintain the home to the highest standard.
✓* To set the highest standard in home making.
