Deputy Home Manager
Description✓A medium sized care home is looking to appoint an interim Deputy Home Manager for a period of 6 months initially
✓The home has a good CQC rating and has a variety of residents within its care
✓The home is a mix of residential and nursing care, with specialist areas within long term conditions and palliative care pathways.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓As a Deputy Home Manager you’ll be making sure the level of care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory and legal requirements;
✓Providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues;
✓Leadership of both clinical and non-clinical staffing within the care home, and being a point of contact for family and friends of residents within the care facility;
✓Ensuring safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore ensuring that all staff and families have an open and honest approach to raising any potential concerns related;
✓Being a visible senior person within the care home, approachable to staff, residents and families and being able to be part of an established team within this home.
✓Successful candidate will have:
✓Registered Manager experience/or have worked at Deputy Home Manager previously/or clinical pin;
✓Thorough understanding of the care home setting, working in an environment where elderly care is provided;
✓A passion for giving the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.
✓An excellent communicator, with an ability to work with third sector parties outside of the home like NHS and Local Authority.
