Family Support Worker
Description✓Job Title: Family Support Worker
✓Service Care Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Family Support Worker for our client based in Macclesfield to work with vulnerable children and families
✓The Service supports children and families from the age of 10 years and over, to safely remain within their own families and communities and provides support for the following areas
✓Risk of family breakdown
✓Placement instability
✓risk of custody
✓risk of exploitation
✓The Team will also deliver the following:
✓Training to Partner Agencies and Professionals regarding exploitation
✓Support groups for Parents with particular focus on the challenges on parenting teenagers
✓Training regarding online safety
✓Intervention for children considered at risk of family breakdown will receive intensive support targeted for a defined period of time to strengthen the already existing Child in Need or Child Protection plan
✓This intervention will be EITHER, targeted for a particular crisis [and therefore time limited in its nature] or linked to mentoring and relationship building with children at risk of exploitation [which may require a longer piece of intervention].
✓The intervention provided by CT will be implemented swiftly and reviewed throughout the Child in Need plan/Child Protection plan meetings
✓These meetings are to consider an exit plan for @CT intervention, ideally with support from the Family Network or other identified Professionals.
✓Requirements:
✓Previous experience of working in a Child safeguarding role
✓Knowledge of the Childrens act 1989
✓Level 3 qualification in Child care or equivalent
✓Enhanced DBS
