Progression Coach

DescriptionCentral is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach, to work in the Bromley area
The service provides support to young people that are working towards independence.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working Monday 10AM - 6PM and Tuesday - Friday 9AM - 5PM
Cover is required for approximately 1 month
The pay rate is £13.70 per hour, with £1.65 holiday pay, totalling £15.35 per hour.
In this position, you will be expected to;
* Hold a caseload of 7 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed Support Plans
* Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
* Collaborate with different private and government agencies to gain the best possible outcomes for the young people
* Support young people to develop independent living skills and provide housing related support.
* Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations
* Ensure the accommodation is properly maintained.
Please note: this role involves lone working.
To apply for this role, you must have;
* Experience of working with young people with complex needs such as homelessness, poor mental health and substance use
* Experience of providing housing related support to young people
* Experience of holding a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments and needs assessments
* The ability to work with clients whose behaviour may be personally challenging.
* The ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and boundaries with clients.
* Experience working in partnership with multi agency teams, including social workers, immigration and mental health professionals.

Further requirements:
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* [unless recruitment criteria states otherwise]
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central [at a cost of £50]
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
