Progression Coach
Description✓Central is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach, to work in the Bromley area
✓The service provides support to young people that are working towards independence.
✓The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working Monday 10AM - 6PM and Tuesday - Friday 9AM - 5PM
✓Cover is required for approximately 1 month
✓The pay rate is £13.70 per hour, with £1.65 holiday pay, totalling £15.35 per hour.
✓In this position, you will be expected to;
✓* Hold a caseload of 7 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed Support Plans
✓* Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
✓* Collaborate with different private and government agencies to gain the best possible outcomes for the young people
✓* Support young people to develop independent living skills and provide housing related support.
✓* Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations
✓* Ensure the accommodation is properly maintained.
✓Please note: this role involves lone working.

✓* Experience of working with young people with complex needs such as homelessness, poor mental health and substance use
✓* Experience of providing housing related support to young people
✓* Experience of holding a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments and needs assessments
✓* The ability to work with clients whose behaviour may be personally challenging.
✓* The ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and boundaries with clients.
✓* Experience working in partnership with multi agency teams, including social workers, immigration and mental health professionals.
✓Candidates should confirm their interest as soon as possible, with interviews scheduled shortly after and the appointed candidate expected to start as soon as possible.
✓Further requirements:
✓In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
✓* Current valid right to work in the UK
✓* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* [unless recruitment criteria states otherwise]
✓* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central [at a cost of £50]
✓* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
