Stonewater have 20+ years’ experience delivering supported living services including refuge, safe accommodation and community based domestic abuse services
We currently offer accommodation and specialist support across the country, comprising of children and young peoples services, homelessness services, women and children’s refuges, LGBTQ+ Safe Space, a South Asian Women’s Refuge and dispersed safe accommodation projects.
We are seeking a Senior Service Manager to oversee some of our services in Swindon and Hereford
These include the Safe Space Refuge for those from the LGBTQ+ community who are unable to continue to reside in their current home due to experiencing domestic abuse, hate crime, family breakdowns, and/or discrimination
We are also developing a new safe accommodation service across Herefordshire for survivors of domestic abuse and those at risk of homelessness.
The Senior Service Manager needs to be someone who can nurture a high performing team to deliver top quality support services, demonstrating impact, value, and true customer co-production
The post holder can be based in either region, although will be predominantly based in Swindon whilst providing support to our team in Hereford
The ability to utilise remote working practices and working flexibly in line with service need and demand is a must.
This is an exciting role and one that is flexible, yet vital
A positive, person focused individual, you will contribute to delivering community and accommodation-based support for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, encouraging a culture of positive engagement
You will work closely with other relevant organisations to develop and foster strong partnership links across the area to ensure positive and sustainable outcomes, whilst coordinating and line managing the front line team.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a relevant Level 3 Qualification or equivalent experience in the Domestic Abuse and Supported Living fields
* Have strong leadership skills, with an ability to positively influence and motivate a team, promoting effective and supportive team work
* An understanding of support planning, assessing risk and safeguarding issues for vulnerable people
* Have knowledge of the supporting housing sector, including funding frameworks, government policy, housing and benefits advice and support services.
* Have the ability to work positively and creatively with survivors, when their needs can be complex and challenging
Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
