✓Our client is a Children's Residential CSE Specialized Home rated Outstanding twice in a row
✓This home provides support and care for young girls aged 12 to 17 years
✓These children have complex emotional and mental health difficulties [such as trauma and loss] and often struggle to regulate their emotions
✓Your new role
✓As a Waking Nights practitioner your duties will include but not limited to :
✓Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people by adhering to and updating their risk assessment as well as taking practical steps to ensure their safety.
✓Identifying with young people what they need to develop their physical, emotional, behavioural and social wellbeing and resilience.
✓Ensuring each young person's placement plan is followed and updated as appropriate to reflect their changing needs
✓Contributing to team meetings, regular supervisions in line with policies and participating in performance appraisal scheme.
✓Ensuring records are maintained, accurate and up to date, both paper and electronic, including report writing and contributing to assessments.
✓Creating opportunities for young people to learn, have fun and practice skills to support them with a transition in to and from the home.
✓What you'll need to succeed
✓Desirable Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent [i.e
✓Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce with the children's social care pathway].
✓Minimum of 1 years' experience working and supporting Young People to achieve their full potential.
✓A working knowledge of key legislation regarding Safeguarding practices relating to children and young people
✓Understanding of the issues experienced by young people such as bullying, gangs, radicalisation, self-harm, sexual exploitation and how these impact on behaviour.
✓Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays
✓Shifts are from 22.00 - 8.45 approx
✓It would be 3 shifts one week and 4 the other so the average would be 40 per week
