CCTV / Access Control Engineer

✓Location: 30 Miles of Southampton
✓Trained & experienced in installing Paxton, Hik Vision, Axis, Videx, Comelit, Entrotec, Intratone, Alpro and ACT Vanderbilt
✓[Recent 7-10 years proven experience]
✓* Experienced with CCTV/Access control/door entry configuration and IP networking.
✓* Ability to fit electronic locks to the majority of door types.
✓* Experience of gates, lifts, barriers and automated systems, Integrating volt free interfaces/break glass units and fire alarm interfaces.
✓* Confident in working with analogue/digital systems between 12-48v.
✓* Be competent in the 1st fix 2nd fix and commissioning of access control/door entry and CCTV systems.
✓* Experienced with commissioning witnessing and demonstrating CCTV and access control systems.
✓* Must have the ability to interpret design drawings/schematics/specifications and deliver compliant systems.
✓* Be familiar with NSI code of practices and British standards.
✓* Full understanding of fire alarm interfacing with automation and access control devices
✓[must understand cause an effect operations within buildings]
✓* Intruder install and commission beneficial.
✓* Structured cabling including fibre optics and LV/ELV electrical experience required
✓[basic networking and 230v power experience required for commissioning purposes]
✓* Ability to carrier out minor containment works and fire clipping, containment works consist of conduit-trunking etc.
✓* Experience of working on TV/Satellite, UPS systems, ICT, BT/Virgin and audio visual systems would be desirable.
✓* Forward thinking, client facing and a good team player.
✓* Full UK driving licence, CSCS/ECS card [Requirement], IPAF & PASMA
✓[SSSTS beneficial]
✓* 90% of projects are for Tier 1 contractors [works will only suit operatives that have worked on large commercial construction projects]
✓* 10% of projects are either maintenance or post contract extra works.
✓* Have a high standard for Health & Safety in the work place and be prepared to wear 5 point PPE on construction sites.
