✓We are looking to recruit a Civils supervisor to oversee civils / construction delivery within the build
✓Your main responsibilities will be monitoring of various sites utilising direct labour and sub-contractor resources and ensuring timely delivery of civils activities in line with programme of works.
✓What you’ll be doing day to day
✓Ensuring that all works carried out on the project are carried out safely and in-line with both Svella Connect and the clients policies and procedures
✓Coach and Support of sub-contract labour and direct staff ensuring any “blockers” to the plan are highlighted and escalated.
✓Ensuring the works are carried out in conjunction with the programme of works
✓Promoting Near Miss and Positive Intervention NCN reporting
✓Strong leadership with employees and sub-contractors on site
✓Efficient communication and engagement with supply chain
✓Ensure all post installation/as-built documents are completed and checked in accordance with the conditions of the project and clients requirements.
✓Consult with Highways Department, Local Authorities and other Utilities Companies on behalf of Svella Connect.
✓Ensure sub-contract and direct employees have site specific method statements and risk assessments and are following them.
✓Liaise with the public, dealing with any issues that the network construction activities may have caused.
✓Control of site environmental issues
✓Development of strong team working relationships
✓Ensuring all project KPI`s and KPM`s are achieved
✓Uploading documents to company systems as and when necessary in line with business requirements
✓Providing Daily and Weekly progress reports to the Operations Manager and Programme Team
✓The experience we’re looking for in a candidate

✓Highly self-motivated with the passion and drive to succeed.
✓Ability to work well under pressure
✓Excellent communicator with the ability to negotiate outcomes that mitigate risks to the programme.
✓Having good IT skills, sound knowledge of Microsoft packages e.g
✓Excel Word, Visio, etc.
✓Knowledge of Telecoms Network Build would be an advantage
✓NRSWA Qualification – supervisor standard preferred
✓Working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
✓Driving Licence plus IOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS
✓PIA accreditation – desirable
✓Good understanding of legislation affecting activities in the highway.
✓Ability to liaise effectively with HA and 3rd party stakeholder representatives.
