WHAT TO EXPECT
JLR Propulsion Engineering is seeking a skilled and experienced Domain Scrum Master to join our dynamic team
As a Domain Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in enabling our Propulsion domain leadership team to deliver exceptional results within a Scaled Agile framework
You will collaborate closely with Squad and Group Scrum Masters, ensuring adherence to Agile processes while swiftly removing obstacles and distractions that hinder team progress
This position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for Agile practices in a fast-paced automotive engineering environment.
In the role of Domain Scrum Master, you will not only enable the Propulsion domain leadership team to effectively deliver within a Scaled Agile framework but also play a pivotal role in coaching and developing key stakeholders
You will coach the Domain Product Owner [PO] on their responsibilities, including maintaining a clear product roadmap, cascading information to all Group Scrum Masters in the domain, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment on priorities across squads
Additionally, you will provide guidance to the Domain leadership on agile behaviors, empowering squads to be self-organized
Collaborating with other Agile Coaches, you will work towards embedding Agile processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
By leveraging your expertise and experience, you will contribute to the growth and development of the team members, ensuring a truly agile environment.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Serve as the owner of Agile processes, methods, and tools across the Propulsion Domains, promoting standardization and flexibility within a Scaled Agile approach.
Coordinate interdependencies between domains to ensure alignment on priorities.
Lead and facilitate key QBR and ABR ceremonies, including retrospectives, memo preparation, and market engagements.
Proactively remove domain-level obstacles and inefficiencies to keep the team focused during each ABR and QBR period.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Prior experience in a senior Scrum Master or Agile Coach role, preferably within the Automotive Engineering industry
Qualified experience of Agile at Scale [e.g., Leading SAFe]
Experience in enterprise-level stakeholder management
Expert knowledge of Agile principles and their practical application
Previous experience in a fast-paced delivery environment
Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence to manage team backlog and delivery efficiently
Demonstrated ability to learn and thrive in a large business environment
