✓Our client, a leading ICT company is looking for an experienced Customs Compliance Expert with at least 10 years of relevant experience based in its office in the Netherlands.
✓What you will do:
✓Cooperation with International Organizations: Establish Communication channels with international organizations such as WTO/WCO and manage the cooperation efforts with said organizations
✓Gain insights into customs policies and industry trends, and strive for policy guidance in favor of our client based on their business scenarios.
✓External Relations and Cooperation: Assist in planning and establishing good relations with customs at a regional level, identify and submit favorable policies for the company and drive the implementation of said policies
✓Promote external communication and cooperation, and effectively utilize consultant resources to support business operations.
✓Audit Response: Provide professional support for regional customs audits, track the audit process, identify risks in advance, provide countermeasures and guidance, and organize the summary and sharing of audit experiences.
✓Risk Mitigation: Manage regional customs risks and ensure customs security
✓Work with process owners of local business departments to assess risks, analyze root causes, and implement improvement plans to reduce regional customs risk exposure
✓Organize and assist countries in the conduct of annual customs risk assessments and on-site audits.
✓Training and enablement: Develop and implement the regional customs compliance training plan, and support the planning and cultivation of regional customs clearance personnel
✓Drive the continuous improvement of the global customs clearance cycle and reduce tariffs
✓The ideal candidate:
✓Bachelor's Degree or above
✓Majors in Supply Chain Management / International trade and Economics / Communication Engineering / Logistics Management…etc
✓are preferred.
✓At least 10 Years of customs compliance experience.
✓Fluent in English speaking, reading and writing
✓English will be the working language for this position.
✓Proficient in the legal framework of WTO and WCO, and general theories, rules and the latest trends in the customs field of major developed countries
✓Proficient in one or more aspects of customs policy research, customs valuation, tariff classification, country of origin, export control, customs compliance, and risk management.
✓Proficient in customs business processes and having comprehensive customs knowledge such as customs valuation, preferential policy use, origin, tariff classification, and trade control.
✓Familiar with EU laws and regulations, sensitive to changes in customs policies, with relevant work experience in the customs field and business planning capabilities.
✓Good organizational skills, communication, coordination and team management skills.
✓Good at team motivation and teamwork.
✓Good interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly gain the trust of people and organizations
✓Good communication skills, teamwork, written and oral communication skills.
✓Be able to perform comprehensive control on customs compliance and risk identification
