Logistics Assistant
Description✓Due to the continued success and expansion of Avonline Networks we have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Assistant to be part of our Plant, Fleet & Logistics team supporting the business in the South West.
✓Avonline Networks deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis
✓From the national fibre networks which millions of homes and businesses rely upon every day, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology to Multi-Dwelling Units [MDU's] across the UK
✓Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to MDU's across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS.
✓The role & responsibilities:
✓Your role will involve Stock Control, Goods Inward / Outwards, Serving inhouse operatives as well as our wide range of sub-contractors, General warehouse housekeeping indoors / outdoors
✓We are currently updating all systems with hand held technology so is an ideal time to join
✓There will also be occasions when you will use a company vehicle to make remote deliveries and could be called on to potentially support other locations in the South West.
✓You will:
✓* Stock Picking / Control
✓* Goods Inwards / Outwards
✓* Vehicle Cleaning
✓* Yard Duties
✓* Occasional stock deliveries to site
✓* Cleaning warehouse
✓* Adhoc Duties
✓What we need from you.
✓* Driving Licence [Max 6 points]
✓* Counterbalance / Bendi / Flexi / Telescopic ideal but not essential [Within 3 years]
✓* Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
✓* Self-motivated and thrives in busy working environment
