A forklift licence is essential for this role
Working with the Operations Lead of a small warehouse in Wokingham, you will be responsible for managing all aspects for the efficient storage and distribution of telecoms equipment to support special coverage initiatives.
We are working towards a planned closure of the facility later this year
In preparation for this closure all telecoms inventory and documents stored in the warehouse must be carefully catalogued and transfers managed to alternative storage locations or, where no longer required, into disposal.
Motivation, flexibility and the ability to adapt to situations and challenges is essential
During this wind down period, the facility will be busy with departmental business leads visiting to undertake equipment testing and to sort stored equipment and documents for keep and disposal
You will be required to support this process and manage the onward distribution of items
Physical stock movement and administrative skills will be required for this role.
You need to be a good communicator with high attention to detail
You must have the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels including programme leads, project managers, finance managers as well as external equipment suppliers, build partners, transport suppliers etc.

Key Accountabilities
· Warehouse and office inventory management: Maintenance of inventory records, cataloging stock in preparation for relocation, management of disposals and, if applicable, goods inward administration.
· Transport management: scheduling warehouse deliveries and collections
· Liaising with key contacts to report activity
Proactively requesting proof of delivery.
· Vendor and supplier management
Closing down and managing payments of service accounts supporting the facility.
· Health & Safety administration and compliance.
· Timely reporting of logistics status, risks and issues.
Minimum Criteria
· Previous logistics experience and knowledge of warehouse operations and operating regulations is essential.
· Counterbalance Forklift operation certificate is essential.
· Ability to work within a multi-discipline team of professionals.
· Ability to cope with challenges whilst at all times maintaining a customer focused ethos.
· First Aid training would be an advantage.
