MDU Project Manager

DescriptionRole Overview
To manage project mobilisation within the department, developing and maintaining client relationships.  To identify and maximise the use of resources within the department working with other departments and project managers to ensure appropriate management of human and other resources for assigned projects.
 
Main Purpose
To manage individual projects and provide an end-to-end solution for clients by overseeing surveying, planning of installation and allocation of labour resources and commencement of engineering works to ensure a fully operational installation that meets client requirements.
Act as a point of contact for clients on a personal level to manage new projects and offer project updates on existing installations.Key Performance Areas
Ensure each installation is delivered to a high standard, with a primary focus on quality to meet client and company expectations, with a low error rate, within budget and in accordance with Company and Client H&S standards.  
Manage labour resource activities and track progress of their projects efficiency to ensure the installation and service programme are being delivered to agreed timelines and standards.
Regular updating of relevant systems and reporting of performance against target as required.
Point of contact for clients’ new projects that require installations.
Provide relevant information and surveys to allow the completion of project packs prior to labour resource allocation.
Provide H&S documentation including risk assessments and method statements for each installation.Dimensions

Main Duties of Role
 
Operational
Mobilisation of installations and individual projects with efficient use of resources.
Provision of support in solution-finding, installation and survey activities.
Multi-project management responsibility, when required.
Oversight of each project’s H&S requirements and adherence to Company standards.Customer Service
Client and end user facing in surveying and project management.
Reporting of each project status and accurate management of resource.Communication
Production of project reports & presentations where and if required.
Regular external communication with clients.
Delivery of presentations one to one and to groups of people.
Internal communication essential to the department.People
Presentable and credible to internal and external customers.
Effective team management to ensure project delivery and standards.
Ability to influence and negotiate with challenging service providers or clients [particularly sub-contract population].Experience preferences and abilities

Successful delivery of multiple-projects or programmes of works particularly in respect of time, quality and to budget
 
Establish contract mobilisation and manage through all stages of delivery. 
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience of telecommunication infrastructure systems.
Ability to solve problems and design solutions to complex network rearrangement issues
