Telehandler Operative
Description✓Telehandler Operative in the Stanley Area.
✓* Location: Durham, Stanley Area
✓* Hourly Rate: £15 per hour
✓* Contract type: Temporary / Ongoing Contract.
✓Duties of Role.
✓* Your primary task would be to remove panels from the outside of a large building using a telehandler.
✓Here's an overview of the process:
✓* Safety Precautions: Before starting any work, prioritize safety.
✓* Obtain and wear the necessary personal protective equipment [PPE] such as a hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, and gloves.
✓* Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines set by your employer and local authorities.
✓* Site Assessment: Familiarize yourself with the building's layout and identify the specific panels that need to be removed.
✓* Take note of any potential hazards, such as power lines, unstable ground, or overhead obstacles.
✓* Telehandler Inspection: Perform a thorough inspection of the telehandler prior to operation.
✓* Check for any mechanical issues, ensure the controls are functioning correctly, and verify that the lifting attachment is in good condition.
✓* Load Capacity Assessment: Determine the weight and dimensions of the panels you'll be removing.
✓* Refer to the telehandler's load capacity chart to ensure you stay within its limits.
✓* Secure Work Area: Establish a safe work zone around the building where the telehandler will operate.
✓* Ensure pedestrians and unauthorized personnel are kept away from the area.
✓* If necessary, use barricades or caution tape to clearly mark the boundaries.
✓* Regular Maintenance: Throughout the project, conduct routine maintenance on the telehandler.
✓* Check the fluid levels, inspect for any signs of wear or damage, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

✓* Panel Removal: Carefully manoeuvre the telehandler into position near the panels that need to be removed.
✓* Follow the appropriate lifting procedure using the telehandler's attachments.
✓* Detach the panels from the building's exterior.
✓* Use caution and precision to prevent damage to the panels or surrounding structures.
✓* Remember to communicate and coordinate with other workers on-site, such as the construction team or project managers, to ensure a smooth workflow and minimize any potential risks.

✓* Hold a valid Telehandler Certificate.
✓* Proven experience as a Telehandler Operator.
✓* Excellent Telehandler skills with a strong emphasis on safety.
✓* Strong organizational and time management skills.
✓* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✓* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
