UCaaS Support engineer

✓The company has a leading portfolio of products such as SIP Trunks, Hosted PBX and data products
✓They area trusted supplier to over 1000 plus channel partners
✓There is now a requirement for a VoIP support engineer to join the Support Desk.
✓The successful candidate will:
✓* Troubleshoot customer and core VoIP problems to resolution
✓* Take and analyse platform traces
✓* Be confident with the SIP stack and troubleshooting PCAP traces
✓* Have experience diagnosing and fixing network problems.
✓* Understand NAT/Firewall configurations.
✓* Where required raise technical support tickets against telephone and/or email requests
✓* Liaise with carriers and third party suppliers
✓* Assist with interoperability tests with new platforms and partners
✓* Work with internal technical teams to diagnose and repair faults
✓* Respond to alerts and rectify related problems
✓* Create and document new processes where required
✓* Have meticulous organisation and attention to detail
✓* Interface with internal teams, provisioning, sales and customers alike
✓* Answer support questions on our products and services
✓Essential Skills / Experience:
✓* At least 2 years’ worth of experience in a VoIP technical support role
✓* At least 2 years’ experience working with opensource operating systems
✓* A good level of network/IP experience including QOS NAT DNS
✓* Experience configuring IP PBX systems
✓* Experience writing queries for SQL databases
✓* Good technical aptitude
✓* Energetic in personal, written, and telephone interactions
✓* Fast learner
✓* Ability to develop technical skills
✓* Ability to work under pressure
✓* Excellent written and spoken English
