UCaaS Support engineer

The company has a leading portfolio of products such as SIP Trunks, Hosted PBX and data products
They area trusted supplier to over 1000 plus channel partners
There is now a requirement for a VoIP support engineer to join the Support Desk.
The successful candidate will:
* Troubleshoot customer and core VoIP problems to resolution
* Take and analyse platform traces
* Be confident with the SIP stack and troubleshooting PCAP traces
* Have experience diagnosing and fixing network problems.
* Understand NAT/Firewall configurations.
* Where required raise technical support tickets against telephone and/or email requests
* Liaise with carriers and third party suppliers
* Assist with interoperability tests with new platforms and partners
* Work with internal technical teams to diagnose and repair faults
* Respond to alerts and rectify related problems
* Create and document new processes where required
* Have meticulous organisation and attention to detail
* Interface with internal teams, provisioning, sales and customers alike
* Answer support questions on our products and services
Essential Skills / Experience:
* At least 2 years’ worth of experience in a VoIP technical support role
* At least 2 years’ experience working with opensource operating systems
* A good level of network/IP experience including QOS NAT DNS
* Experience configuring IP PBX systems
* Experience writing queries for SQL databases
* Good technical aptitude
* Energetic in personal, written, and telephone interactions
* Fast learner
* Ability to develop technical skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Excellent written and spoken English
